"It's hard not to smile..."
Today I am thankful for a small joy in life... Ivy's squeaky shoes. Ivy got these as a birthday present from her Grandma Hales. When she unwrapped the present and I saw the box, I knew exactly what they were and I groaned a little bit... I'd always thought that squeaky shoes were so annoying. But Ivy adored them from the moment she laid eyes on them. Pink with flowers and sparklies... what's not to love? She immediately put them on and oh! you should have seen the look on her face when she took those first steps and realized that they squeaked with every step she took. It was love at first step - she couldn't wipe the grin off her face for a long time after that. And thus I fell in love with these darn squeaky shoes too. How could I not love something that brought her so much joy? And as a big added bonus, the soles are so soft and pliable that Ivy actually walks a lot better in these shoes than any of her others.
And so we've gotten used to the *squeak, squeak* noise that follows Ivy around pretty much all day, every day. It actually makes it pretty easy to keep track of her. :) She doesn't wear them to church or to the library, but pretty much anywhere else is fair game. And it's true, we do attract a bit of attention. Some people hate them and make whispered remarks, and with them I can sympathize. I used to be a hater too. Some people comment and ask if the noise drives me nuts, and I just explain how happy it makes her. Some teenagers at the movie theater wanted to know where they could get some for themselves. Most people just smile and laugh though. Even if you've seen her in them several times before, it's hard not to smile at a little red-headed toddler running around with a smile on her face and squeaking like crazy. :)
And so I am thankful for this oh-so-feminine, super squeaky pair of shoes. And Ivy is too. It's the little joys in life, you know? :)

"Amazing Customer Service"
I ordered a pair of the orange squeaker sandals a few weeks ago. They are for a Halloween outfit, but they looked so cute, I thought we could wear them to church...I mean what could happen to them on a five minute car ride to church? Well, my daughter Olivia, absolutely demolished the bows, ribbon hanging out of her mouth and everything! I was so bummed. I called and asked to order some replacement bows. The woman on the phone said no problem and asked for my address...I was thinking, hmmm I'm never gonna get these, she didn't even get my credit card number. Lo and behold, the adorable orange polka dot bows arrived today, no cost to me! I have NEVER received such amazing customer service, you have a customer for life. Not to mention a walking advertisement to every mom I meet! THANK YOU!!!!

I know I was a little bit of a pain, but you absolutely made my wife's and daughter's vacation once their shoes arrived at the resort. "I love these shoes! My daughter is visually impaired and people tend to turn and step aside to see where the noise is coming from and in doing so they clear a path for her! We get compliments on her Squeakers all the time, it helps me keep track of her, and people unknowingly make her more safe!! She is 23 months old and doesn't let her disabilities stop her, she is very active! We benefit from them for our special needs daughter, and they are quality combined with fashionably cute!!! Thank you for these shoes they are a blessing!"

"...such a wonderful product"
We just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful product. Our daughter, Morgan, has cerebral palsy. At one of our recent clinic appointments at Primary Children's Medical center they gave us a donated pair of your squeaker shoes so that we could hear when Morgan wasn't putting her heels down. She loves them, which actually encourages her to walk even when her legs are too tired. We just bought a pair of the patent leather boots and are so excited about the extra support they will give her ankles. Thank you for your donations and again for your wonderful product.

"...far too cute!"
Just a quick note. I have been watching Eliana with her squeaky shoes/boots and have noticed she really does a "happy dance" when we put them on her! Not seconds after the velcro is done up, she dances in place to happy squeaks, followed by her big grin. There have been no requests for her regular shoes anymore! Funny too, while on our way into Walmart, Eliza was squeaking her her boots. Another little girl was in the cart heading for the door next to us. She was intently following Eliza's every step. Her mom said, "You ALREADY have squeaky shoes at home!" The desire to have a pair was oozing from this little girl. It was far too cute!
